Ebbinghaus Review Planner

What is an Ebbinghaus review plan?

An Ebbinghaus review plan is a method of scheduling repeated reviews at intervals. By dividing learning into multiple review points and revisiting the same content on different dates, you can establish a more regular review rhythm. It is suitable for vocabulary, key concepts, course content, and exam materials that require memorization.

How to generate a review plan

Enter the content you want to review, choose a study start date, select a standard, intensive, or custom schedule, and click Generate Plan. The tool calculates each review date according to the selected intervals and displays the complete schedule on a timeline.

Standard and custom schedules

The standard schedule is suitable for regular study and long-term review, while the intensive schedule is designed for content that needs concentrated review before an exam. If you already have your own review rhythm, choose a custom schedule and enter the desired review intervals directly.

Today's tasks and overdue reviews

When you open the tool, you can immediately see the current date and any review tasks that need to be completed. Due items are marked as today's tasks, while unfinished items from previous dates are shown as overdue, making it easier to identify reviews that need attention.

Record review progress

After completing a review, check the corresponding item to record your progress. The tool tracks completed plan items and consecutive study days. The review plan and completion status are stored in the current browser and remain available after refreshing the page.

Copy and export the review plan

After generating a plan, you can copy it as text or export it as an ICS calendar file. ICS files can be imported into calendar applications that support the format, allowing you to create reminders for scheduled review dates.
