How to use the Exam Countdown
Enter the exam name, select the exam date and start time, and enter the number of hours you expect to study each day. Click start to begin the countdown. The page displays the remaining days, hours, minutes, and seconds in real time, while also calculating the remaining study days and estimated available study time.
How many days are left until the exam?
The countdown compares the exam time with the current time on your device and continuously calculates the remaining time. The full countdown displays days, hours, minutes, and seconds, so you can see not only how many days remain but also the remaining hours and minutes before the exam.
How are remaining study days calculated?
The remaining study days are calculated by rounding the remaining time until the exam up to the next whole day. For example, if less than a full day remains, it is still counted as 1 day for study planning purposes. Once the exam time is reached, the remaining study days and study time are reset to zero.
How is the remaining available study time calculated?
If you set a daily study duration, the tool estimates your remaining study time by multiplying the remaining study days by your daily study hours. For example, if you plan to study 2 hours per day and have 10 remaining study days, the estimated available study time is 20 hours. This value is for planning purposes and does not represent your actual available study time.
Quick exam date settings
The date input area provides quick options for tomorrow, one week from now, and one month from now, allowing you to quickly create a temporary countdown. You can also select any exam date and time for a long-term preparation plan.
Which time zone is used for the exam time?
The countdown uses the current local time on your device and interprets the exam date and time according to the local time zone of your browser and device. If you change your device clock or use the tool across time zones, the countdown result may also change.
What happens when the exam time arrives?
When the countdown reaches zero, the page stops updating every second. The remaining time is shown as 0, and the status indicates that the exam time has arrived instead of continuing into negative values. Previously entered exam information can remain saved in the browser and can be viewed again after refreshing the page.

The exam name, date, time, and daily study duration are saved locally in the current browser. After refreshing the page, the settings can be restored automatically and the countdown can continue. Clearing local data removes these settings. The tool does not need to send exam information to a server because the countdown is calculated directly in the browser.
