How it is calculated
Study sessions = target hours divided by daily study time, rounding any partial day up. The finish date advances through the weekdays you ticked: unticked days never consume a session, and ticking every day advances through natural days. The deadline mode works the other way round: it counts the study days actually available between the start date and the deadline and returns the daily study time you need. Everything is calculated in your browser.

Study Time and Daily Study Plan Calculator

Study Time Calculator

What can the Study Time Calculator calculate?

The Study Time Calculator helps you create a simple study schedule based on your study goal and available time. Enter the total amount of study time you need, then choose how long to study each day or set a target completion date. The tool calculates the required study days, estimated completion date, or daily study time based on your selected study days.

Calculate how many days you need based on daily study time

If you already know how much time you can study each day, choose the daily study time option and enter the number of hours and minutes. The tool calculates how many study days you need to reach your total study goal and estimates the completion date based on your selected days of the week.

Calculate daily study time based on a deadline

If you already know the deadline for an exam, course, or task, switch to deadline mode and enter the target completion date. The tool counts the actual study days between the start date and deadline based on your selected study days, then calculates how much study time you need each day.

Customize your weekly study schedule

Your study time does not have to be the same every day. You can select any study days from Monday through Sunday. The tool provides quick options such as studying every day or on weekdays, and you can also adjust individual days manually to better match your course, work, or exam schedule.

How to read the results

The results section shows the number of study days, total study time, daily study time, start date, and completion date. Your selected study days are also displayed in a weekly study schedule. If the final day does not require a full study session, the tool separately shows the amount of time needed on the last day.

Study scheduling tips

When creating a study plan, first estimate the total time required to reach your goal, then schedule study days based on the amount of time you can consistently study each day. If the deadline is close, the calculated daily study time may be relatively high, so consider adjusting your goal, start date, or selected study days according to your actual availability.

Frequently asked questions

The calculation results change dynamically based on the start date, study goal, daily study time, and selected study days. The tool only calculates study schedules, does not record course content, and does not require an account, making it convenient for quickly creating a personal study plan.

How long should you study each day to finish on time?
